Healing Trauma: A Natural Framework to Facilitate Change and Transformation – 8 Week Online and Interactive Course
Medical Qigong (“chee kung”) is a 5,000-year-old healing tradition that considers the whole being to enhance health and resilience. Our starting point is “All disease comes from the spirit” – i.e., thousands of years ago, these doctors recognized how emotions and thoughts relate to our physical body and can cause illness. We recognize that emotional trauma is stored in the body in specific ways or patterns.
When we work with these energy centers and pathways, we help clear out disease, blockages, old hurts and wounds, and emotional stagnation and help kickstart the body’s ability to repair and heal. This ancient, proven “technology” restores balance and harmony and the free flow of energy to enhance health, prevent disease (“dis-ease”), and facilitate productive change and transformation. The energetic work we do through treatment and/or prescription exercises can help “ping” or mobilize so the emotions can be surfaced and fully resolved, both physically as well as through consultation or counseling. Over time, you gain awareness of internal energy flows and centers and become aware at an intuitive level that your body has things to say – and you feel safe enough to listen.
This course will teach you the fundamental aspects of the treatment framework used for resolving and healing trauma, vicarious trauma, and post-traumatic stress. You will also learn a foundational set of Qigong and breathing exercises which are used to treat trauma and PTS.
The course consists of weekly installments of instructional videos and written materials. You progress through the course at your own pace.
